Dr. Farah Faruqi is a distinguished leader in STEM education, recognized for her innovative research, commitment to equity, and impact on teaching practices nationwide. With a PhD in STEM Education, Dr. Farah has dedicated her career to advancing integrated STEM learning, fostering equitable educational environments, and empowering educators and students.
Driven by her own lived experiences, Dr. Farah has successfully broken generational cycles, becoming the first woman in her family and the first generation to achieve higher education. Her personal journey has shaped her passion for educational equity, particularly in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) spaces. She is devoted to ensuring that every student, regardless of their background, has access to high-quality STEM opportunities.
Dr. Farah’s academic pursuits focus on integrated STEM learning, teacher practices, and curriculum development. Her work has been published in the prestigious American Society of Engineering Education (ASEE), showcasing her expertise in advancing STEM education. Additionally, she coauthored two influential policy reports in collaboration with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), which provided actionable strategies for effective and equitable remote teaching and learning.
With over five years of research experience, Dr. Farah has contributed to numerous National Science Foundation (NSF) grants, working alongside higher education institutions to advance STEM education research and practice.
